If you were trained or certified by a doula training organization in the past, you have been a postpartum doula to at least 10 families (3 shifts minimum per family), and you are ready to go deeper into postpartum doula care to better serve families, this certification is for you.
Birth Day Presence has been helping doulas become certified birth and postpartum doulas since 2004. Join us, get certified, and take your career to a new level! Most doulas complete their certification within 4-8 weeks.
Feb 9th, 14th, 16th and Mar 1st + additional pre-recorded sessions.

Postpartum Doula Care Beyond the Basics
Expand your expertise beyond the fundamentals of postpartum parent and baby support, focusing on traditional postpartum practices for physical healing, emotional well-being, and addressing baby-related challenges. Learn how to incorporate rituals, postpartum nutrition, and traditional healing practices. Elevate your postpartum care beyond basic parent and baby support, encompassing a holistic approach built in collaboration with the parents you serve.
Navigating Advanced Circumstances
Cultivate proficiency in addressing a broad spectrum of challenges, ranging from mental health issues (PMADs, postpartum anxiety, depression, psychosis) to diverse physical complications in the birthing parent (e.g., prolapse, hemorrhoids, pubic symphysis). Address complex baby-related concerns such as babies in NICU, preemies, multiples, and learn to help navigate relationship issues between parents or with extended family members.
Self Support and Sustainability
Acquire valuable insights into effective self-support strategies, decompression rituals, and methods to prevent burnout while actively developing your doula business. This includes learning how to strike a balance between sustaining your well-being and growing your postpartum doula practice.

Birth Day Presence offers 50% scholarships for Postpartum Doula Trainings. These scholarships are meant for people who would not otherwise be able to attend the training because their financial resources are limited. If you have the means to pay for the full training, or if you have limited resources, but do not identify as BIPOC, payment plans are available.
In childbirth, systemic racism is the root cause of disparities leading to higher maternal mortality rates for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Doulas improve postpartum outcomes and makes a difference in more positive postpartum experiences. Doulas are an essential part of collaborative, respectful quality care. We offer partial scholarships to individuals who identify as BIPOC and have shown:
A commitment to improving birth outcomes
Have a financial need for scholarship assistance
Will use doula skills to support their community
